Frequency units
Hertz (Hz) counts repetitions per second. A 144 Hz monitor redraws the screen 144 times a second, and a 3.5 GHz CPU ticks 3.5 billion times a second.
- 1 rpm = 1/60 Hz, so a motor at 3,000 rpm turns at 50 Hz.
- 1 Hz = 2π rad/s
- FM radio is measured in MHz, and Wi-Fi uses the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
