Reading tire pressure
The recommended pressure depends on the vehicle. It is printed on the sticker inside the driver's door and in the manual, usually in psi and kPa or bar. If the air pump at the station uses a different unit, convert it here.
- 1 bar = 100 kPa ≈ 14.5 psi
- 1 psi ≈ 6.895 kPa ≈ 0.0689 bar
- 1 atm = 101.325 kPa = 760 mmHg = 1,013.25 hPa
- 1 kgf/cm² ≈ 0.98 bar ≈ 14.22 psi
